ENGINE: It is a 6.1L Hemi with a Spartan Max cam, ported heads, ported intake, FAST XFI and XIM. The FAST kit was good with a few exceptions:
1) There is no support for an alternator, no wiring or connectors and zero info. I used a Transpo C8313 high current regulator and a factory connector. See photo. I have also seen these conversions done with the Mopar adjustable regulator. You CAN NOT use the standard type electronic one! You will damage things!
2) The harness was OK with a few bad crimps. You will need to shorten and lengthen most of it to fit your vehicle.
3) The throttle cable bracket will not fit with the 6.1L intake and had to be modified.
For the rest of the electrical I made all of the harnesses and used a modified Bussmann fuse and relay block. I used circular aircraft connectors for all connections.
The headers were aftermarket SRT Jeep headers as that was all I could find that fit the chassis. I used factory LX engine mounts, SRT radiator and fans and hoses. AC is a Vintage air box with home made hoses.
Power steering pump is off of a SRT Jeep. I used that because it has a built in tank.
Fuel system is a Warlbro pump in a custom fuel hat and basket from Crank This Performance, mounted into a Jaz fuel cell. 1/2 in feed and 3/8 return. Holley regulator on the firewall.
TRANSMISSION: 18 spline Hemi 4-speed, Lakewood scattershield, centerforce clutch, modified lat model Ram pedals and hydraulic clutch setup.
I used a '70s truck slave cylinder mounted above and to the rear because the modern type woud not fit. I shortened the clutch lever and modified it for a truck style pushrod. I hade to make a bellcrank so all of this would fit in the narrow chassis and headers.
FRAME: Frame is a boxed factory one from the cab back that is heavily braced. It is a 2x3 front frame with RMS shock uprights and eccentric adjuster kit.
